I have just returned from a great vacation in Florida! My only complaint was that I did not have Internet access and did not set myself up to do mobile blogging!
I do have to say that it was wonderful to miss the ice storm last week! We were happily basking in the beautiful sunny days of high 70's to 80's! I absorbed as much sunshine as I could! Now I am back in the cold, gray, icy north.
As I was running an early morning errand today, still half exhausted from my trip... all I could think was that I am grateful for last week and happy for now...even in this climate. It occurred to me that if one can be happy here then one can be happy anywhere! It was so easy to be happy in the beautiful weather with the warm, sweet sunshine! Here there is no sunshine, only clouds, snow, sleet, and biting cold. Yet I am happy....happy just to be, actually.... it certainly is not happiness because of the weather!
